As Global Head of Travel, Fleet & Events and an experienced global travel professional, Christoph is accountable for the development and execution of the global strategy and processes of the entire, wholistic global travel management, incl. corporate card, policies, duty of car obligations and many more. Also, the procurement of the global fleet and internal event program for the Merck Group falls under his responsibility.
Christoph and his team are making sure that the program is always up to date and bring in innovations when useful. Consistent process optimization is currently one of the key activities to reduce complexity.

Christoph is with Merck since more than 30 years in various roles and leads the global category since 2008.
Since 2014 he is also board member of the German Business Travel Association and became its president in 2019.

Die Präsentation „Vom Fuhrpark zum Mobilitätsmanagement“ gibt einen Überblick über die evolutionären Veränderungen im Mobilitätsbereich von Merck KGaA. Beginnend mit begrenzten Fahrzeugalternativen und nationalen Aufgaben bis circa 2010, führte die rasante Entwicklung zu einem globalen Mandat mit einem deutlich erweiterten Fahrzeugportfolio und komplexeren Aufgaben. Heute umfasst das Mobilitätsmanagement strategische Konzepte, Nachhaltigkeitsinitiativen und globale Kostenkontrolle, wobei viele operative Prozesse ausgelagert sind. Die Präsentation verdeutlicht den Wandel von einer einfachen Flottenverwaltung hin zu einem ganzheitlichen Mobilitätsmanagement, das zunehmend durch innovative Mobilitätslösungen und nachhaltige Strategien geprägt ist.
